When Friendships Become Overwhelming
Friendship is supposed to be one of life's greatest gifts. Good friends encourage us, celebrate our victories, and help us through difficult times. But not every friendship remains healthy. Sometimes, the people closest to us become emotionally exhausting, leaving us feeling more like caregivers than friends. Over time, I've realized that having three particular friends—Marc, Ashley, and Beth—has taught me an important lesson about boundaries. Marc is someone who always seems to put himself first. Every conversation somehow circles back to him, his goals, or his finances. Money is almost always the topic.
